Iconastasia, Episode #3: ‘one must look with the heart’.

An experient in form – a mix based on seminal piece of children’s literature, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, this episode of Iconastasia takes the usual mix of laidback ambience, dreamy indie, and hazy electronics, and mixes it up with readings from de Saint-Exupery’s delightfully whimsical tale of a young prince who goes adventuring across the expanses of the universe, and discovers what love is.

Iconastasia, Episode #2: ‘small, perfect thing’.

Through the darkness, it’s the sound of your name on my lips that carries me through the night. A laidback mixture of ambient electronics, trip-hop, indie-pop and spoken-word interludes for the quieter, better moments in life. A hand in yours, in the darkness. A kiss on a doorstep in the pouring rain. Drifting off to sleep with your name, echoing in my mind.

We were very lucky to make it onto air this week – I’ve been battling a malfunctioning laptop all week and it completely died on me exactly fifty minutes before we were due to go on air. Cheers, Lachlan, for your assistance! Apologies, again, for the recording-quality – I had to record this in a friend’s car, using my laptop’s mic. I’m working on getting this resolved!

Episode 1: ‘the city is a whore tonight’. A aural journey through the seedier side of city nightlife. A soundtrack for walking home alongside the train tracks at four in the morning, for passing by abandoned buildings and wondering what stories it’s hiding.
